Meet Our Team

  • Drew made his name for himself working at some of Omaha’s fine dining restaurants, where he learned lessons in excellence + lessons in discipline. Taking what he had learned, Drew wanted to open a neighborhood restaurant that operates under a simple rule; take care of our guests through good food, good service + good wine. To do this, Drew made a commitment to work with local farmers by purchasing directly from them + respecting the product the best our team can, a commitment to taking care of his staff by paying a livable wage + a healthcare reimbursement to all team members + a commitment to our community by promoting, supporting + elevating all of Fremont. At the end of the day, Drew wants guests to stop in to Semo, order a plate of pasta, pair a glass of wine + leave well taken care of.

  • Michelle is from Albion, NE and moved to Fremont, NE in 2020. Her earliest baking memories are of her and her mom making banana bread when she was 4 years old. She received a Bachelors degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where she majored in culinary science. Michelle took culinary arts classes at Metropolitan community college where she met her husband, Drew. She enjoys cooking, baking, serving guests and learning about wine and the stories of the winemakers and vineyards. She believes working in restaurants (whether it be cooking, baking or serving) it’s all about giving the guests’ an experience they talk about for years. Together her and Drew have two children, Harry and Ellie.

  • Holding the prestigious WSET Level 2 certification and the title of Intro Sommelier in the Court of Master Sommeliers, Dan's expertise is a testament to his dedication to the world of fine wines. His favorite wines come from Piedmont, Italy, Barolo being the frontrunner. Dan was also as the sous chef, collaborating closely with Chef Drew at a previous restaurant. This experience not only enriched his understanding of the culinary arts but also deepened his appreciation for the intricate dance between food and wine. Residing in Fremont, NE, with his fiancée, Dan is set to embark on a new chapter as they eagerly await the arrival of their first baby this summer. Beyond the world of wine and culinary delights, Dan's personal life reflects a joyous anticipation, adding a touch of warmth to his already inviting personality.
